The HTA HT4000E sample preparation station combines two devices in one housing: an automatic system for solid-phase extraction and a liquid autosampler for subsequent HPLC analysis. The equipment is designed for laboratories where samples require pre-purification before chromatography, including environmental monitoring, food analysis, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical control. The device supports two operating modes. In offline mode, the system performs a full cycle of solid-phase extraction, collecting purified eluate in prepared tubes for subsequent analysis on any chromatograph. In online mode, after the extraction is completed, the device directly injects the purified sample into the connected HPLC or LC-MS system, fully automating the process from the initial sample to the chromatogram. The station's operation is based on Constant Flow technology — the dosing of all liquids is carried out with a constant controlled flow using a precision syringe. Unlike vacuum systems, this approach eliminates the dependence of the solvent passage rate on the properties of a particular batch of SPE cartridges and guarantees reproducibility of the retention time of the target components during elution. The device occupies less than 40 centimeters of linear space on a laboratory table, processing up to 32 samples in one batch. The volume of the cleaned sample reaches 50 milliliters per sample. The system automates all stages of solid-phase extraction: conditioning and activation of the cartridge, sample loading, matrix washing, analyte elution and, if necessary, air drying of the cartridge. Standard cartridges for normal-phase, reverse-phase, and ion-exchange chromatography, as well as affinity and immunoaffinity columns, are supported. HTAPREP software with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface allows you to create multi-stage extraction protocols, customized for each sample in sequence. In addition to purification, the station performs dilution and derivatization of samples, and can also function as a standard HPLC autosampler for samples that do not require prior preparation.
