Agilent 6495D
Triple quadrupole liquid chromato-mass spectrometer Agilent 6495

The Agilent 6495D mass spectrometric system is a triple quadrupole liquid chromatography detector, the latest model in the flagship 6495 series. The device is designed for laboratories with maximum sensitivity and performance requirements for the analysis of peptides, proteins, and ultra-precise concentrations of pollutants in complex matrices, as well as for proteomics, food analysis, environmental monitoring, and control of nitrosamine impurities. The system is based on the iFunnel technology of the fourth generation, which significantly increases the efficiency of ion transfer from the source to the mass analyzer. The Agilent Jet Stream (AJS) ionization source…

The Agilent Jet Stream (AJS) ionization source with a stream of super-hot blowing gas increases desolvation efficiency and sensitivity. The iFunnel system provides excellent sensitivity at femtogram and attogram levels. The detection limit of the device in IDL mode is less than 0.3 femtograms for reserpine in positive ionization and less than 0.3 femtograms for chloramphenicol in negative ionization with a column load of 1 femtogram. The mass analyzer is made according to the classical triple quadrupole scheme. The mass filters have a hyperbolic shape and are heated to prevent contamination and ensure the stability of the mass axis. The range of registered masses ranges from 5 to 3000 atomic mass units. The system supports the registration rate of MRM transitions up to 700 per second, and the minimum registration time for one transition is 0.5 milliseconds. The time for switching the polarity does not exceed 25 milliseconds. The key operational feature of the 6495D modification is VacShield technology, which allows replacing the capillary and servicing the ion source without resetting the vacuum and turning off the device. This solution reduces downtime during routine maintenance. The system can also be equipped with a dry oil pump, which reduces power consumption by more than 50 percent compared to traditional oil pumps and does not require regular oil changes. The system is equipped with intelligent automation and monitoring functions. The AI-configurable SWARM Autotune uses artificial intelligence algorithms to optimize device parameters. Early Maintenance Feedback monitors the status of critical components and predicts the need for maintenance. The Intelligent Reflex function automatically monitors the residual sample transfer and going beyond the calibration range, if necessary, starting a reanalysis with additional rinses or dilution of the sample. The system is compatible with Agilent 1260 and 1290 Infinity II and III liquid chromatographs.
