The device is in demand in food safety control, environmental monitoring, clinical research and pharmacokinetics. The system is based on Active Ion Management Plus (AIM+) technology, which combines several key solutions for maximum ion transfer from the source to the detector. The OptaMax NG ion source with automatic gas and voltage connection supports electrospray and chemical ionization modes at atmospheric pressure. The design includes purge gas to reduce chemical noise and an optimal spray angle of 60 degrees. The mass analyzer includes segmented quadrupoles with a hyperbolic surface and a field radius of 4.0 millimeters. The range of registered masses ranges from 2 to 3000 atomic mass units. The resolution of Q1 and Q3 is adjustable to 0.4 Yes at half-height. The mass axis stability is maintained within ± 0.1 atomic mass units for 24 hours of continuous operation. The Active Collision Cell II (ARC II) at a 90-degree angle ensures effective ion fragmentation. The axial constant electric field accelerates the passage of ions through the cell, allowing up to 600 SRM transitions per second to be recorded with zero crosstalk. The detector is made according to a dual-mode scheme with an increased surface area: pulse counting for low flows and analog mode for high flows. This design provides a linear dynamic range of more than six orders of magnitude. The sensitivity of the device is characterized by a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 500,000 to one when 1 picogram of reserpine is injected in the positive mode and a similar indicator for 1 picogram of chloramphenicol in the negative mode. The reproducibility of the signal is less than 5 percent RSD with six consecutive injections. The time for switching the polarity between positive and negative ionization is no more than 5 milliseconds. Scanning is carried out at a rate of up to 15,000 atomic mass units per second. The minimum delay time is 1 millisecond. Ion transport includes an annular ion leash (SRIG) with wide transmission curves and a neutral blocker that stops neutral particles and high-speed clusters. The ion transport capillary and purge cone are designed for tool-free maintenance. Xcalibur software provides a full cycle of work from creating methods to processing data. Access to the mzCloud connection database allows you to import the connection name, SRM junctions, and collision energies. Integration with Chromeleon CDS and TraceFinder systems is provided. The device is compatible with ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), high-efficiency ion chromatography (HPIC) systems, as well as with the optional FAIMS Pro Duo differential ion mobility interface for additional reduction of chemical noise when working with complex matrices.
