The Multiwave 7101/7301/7501 series is a new generation of microwave sample preparation systems, replacing the Multiwave 7000 model. Unlike its predecessor, the manufacturer now offers three devices with different configurations and price categories, while maintaining a single high-performance platform. The devices provide complete decomposition of food products, polymers, cosmetics, pharmaceutical substances, geological samples, ceramics and petroleum products in one cycle. All three models are based on PDC technology, a sealed high—pressure chamber. The design is a stainless steel autoclave with microwave heating and water cooling. The chamber is filled with nitrogen before launch, which suppresses boiling and prevents the loss of volatile elements. A liner with an absorbent solution is placed inside, and open tubes made of thin-walled borosilicate glass, quartz or PTFE-TFM are placed in it. The tubes are closed with plugs without a threaded connection, and the total pressure inside the chamber presses them down, ensuring tightness without additional effort. The older Multiwave 7501 model differs from the younger ones in its enhanced resistance to aggressive environments. The manufacturer has modified the internal components to increase the resistance to hydrochloric acid and aqua regia. The 7501 model is also equipped with an enhanced automatic cleaning cycle to remove traces of acids. The control is carried out through a touch interface with preset methods for various industries. The system provides simultaneous processing of up to 28 samples per cycle with a sample weight from 0.1 to 4 grams and a reagent volume from 500 microliters to 50 milliliters. Cooling of the rotor after completion of the program is integrated, which saves space on the laboratory table in the 7301 and 7501 models. The devices comply with the requirements of 21 CFR Part 11 and are supplied with an optional set of documentation for pharmaceutical qualification.
