The Agilent 240FS/280FS AA are flame atomizer AA spectrometers designed for laboratories where high performance and ease of handling large series of samples are required. The systems use flame atomization with acetylene air and, if necessary, acetylene nitrous oxide air flame, which makes it possible to work with a wide range of elements without the need for an electrothermal furnace. The optical circuit is built according to the Cherni Turner type with an automatic monochromator and a range of 185-900 nm, providing stability and reproducibility with a large sample load. The device uses a two-beam circuit, automatic wavelength setting and lamp selection, which reduces operator influence and speeds up the start of a series of analyses. The built-in background processing contour allows you to correctly account for interfering effects in typical matrices without reducing the speed of operation. Management is performed from an external Windows PC, standard atomic spectroscopy platforms and laboratory management systems (LIMS) are supported, which allows you to automate the creation of methods, sample accounting and preparation of reports. For the Agilent laboratory, the 240FS/280FS AA is a reliable tool for routine monitoring of metals in a wide range of concentrations at high speed and ease of maintenance.
