A microwave magnetron at a frequency of 2450 megahertz with magnetic excitation creates a stable nitrogen plasma torch that maintains a temperature sufficient for atomization of both light and refractory elements. A magnetically excited microwave plasma source provides lower detection limits and a wider linear dynamic range compared to traditional flame atomic absorption spectroscopy. The range of elements to be determined includes alkaline, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, as well as important nonmetals such as phosphorus and sulfur, which are traditionally inaccessible to flame atomic absorption methods. A CCD-based detector registers the spectrum simultaneously at all wavelengths, enabling multi-element analysis without optical adjustment. The device's design provides for fully automatic operation. The MP Expert software contains pre-installed templates for the most common applications, which allows the operator to run the analysis without lengthy methodology development. The manufacturer also offers access to an online library of more than 170 ready-made methods. The optional AVS (Advanced Valve System) reduces the time between samples to less than 30 seconds. The device is certified according to the ASTM D8351-22 standard for biodiesel analysis, and its methodology is approved by the International Organization of Viticulture and Winemaking for wine Analysis.
