Agilent 9500
Triple quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS/MS)

The Agilent 9500 mass spectrometer is the latest ICP-MS/MS system, announced in 2026. The device was created for laboratories working in the fields of environmental monitoring, food analysis, pharmaceuticals, fine organic synthesis, as well as for testing centers. The main goal of the development is to make the advanced triple quadrupole technology available for routine analysis. The key advantage of the system is the unique Agilent DCS dual-cell collision reaction unit. It has two modes: improved helium mode and air cell mode. Enhanced Helium mode replaces multiple tuning modes with one, reducing acquisition time by…

Enhanced Helium mode replaces multiple tuning modes with one, reducing acquisition time by more than 33%. The air cell uses atmospheric air for mass shift reactions with oxygen. This eliminates the need for cylinders of high-purity reaction gases, simplifying operation and increasing safety. The instrument greatly simplifies the learning curve of ICP-MS/MS for operators accustomed to single-quadrupole systems. OpenLab ICP-MS software includes ready-to-use methods and a method development assistant to help you select optimal modes for specific analytes. The upgraded hardware includes a new u-lens, an expansion of the second quadrupole mass range to 300 Da, and a minimum signal acquisition time of 0.05 milliseconds.
