Thermo Scientific iCAP 7000 Plus Series
Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer Series (ICP-OES)

Thermo Scientific iCAP 7000 Plus Series spectrometers belong to the class of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometers and represent the flagship line for laboratories performing high-performance routine analysis of complex samples. The series includes three models — iCAP 7200, iCAP 7400 and iCAP 7600 — differing in configuration and automation level. The devices are in demand in environmental monitoring, food safety control, geology, metallurgy, petrochemistry and materials science. All models of the line are equipped with a highly efficient 27.12 MHz solid-state RF freewheel generator, which ensures stable operation even with the most complex…

All models of the line are equipped with a highly efficient 27.12 MHz solid-state RF freewheel generator, which ensures stable operation even with the most complex matrices. The CID86 detector with charge injection and non-destructive reading simultaneously registers the full spectrum in the wavelength range from 166 to 847 nanometers, including the ultra-sensitive deep ultraviolet region up to 180 nanometers. Unlike traditional CCD detectors, the CID86 has a lower noise level, an extended dynamic range, and allows optimal measurement of both weak and intense signals without blurring bright lines. The iCAP 7200 model is the basic version of the series with fixed settings, designed for laboratories performing standard routine analyses. It is equipped with a three-channel peristaltic pump and supports bidirectional plasma monitoring mode. The iCAP 7400 is a mid-range version with enhanced capabilities for laboratories with higher performance requirements. It is equipped with a four-channel mini peristaltic pump, MFC mass flowmeters for precise control of all gas flows and power control. The iCAP 7600 is the flagship version with maximum automation and flexibility. It is equipped with an additional channel for additive gas for the analysis of organic solvents and high-salt samples, as well as an integrated SPRINT valve for analysis with a minimum sample volume. The system is managed through the Qtegra Intelligent Scientific Data Solution software, which simplifies the creation of methods, data collection, and reporting. The built-in Element Finder module automatically helps the operator select the optimal wavelengths for each element, which critically reduces the time needed to develop techniques.
