Thermo Scientific iCE 3400 AAS is a solution for laboratories that perform regular monitoring of metals in water, industrial solutions, raw materials, residual waters and food samples, but do not require complex electrothermal modules. The system is focused on a stable routine, where the priority is serial speed, ease of operation and a minimum level of errors due to the operator. The device is based on flame atomization with an acetylene air flame, and, if necessary, with acetylene nitrous oxide air, which allows working with a wide range of metals without switching to a graphite furnace. The optical part is made according to the Cherni Turner type with an automatic monochromator and a range of about 190-900 nm, which ensures fast reconfiguration between methods and elements and a stable signal over long bursts. The key features of the iCE 3400 AAS are automatic lamp selection and positioning, software optimization of burner position and flame modes, as well as a built-in background correction algorithm. This reduces numerous manual settings, reduces the dependence of the result on the operator's experience, and simplifies the transition between different types of samples and matrices. The control is carried out from an external PC, standard platforms for atomic spectroscopy and integration with LIMS systems are supported, which is convenient for factory laboratories, SES/CSEC centers, environmental and independent testing centers.
