The key advantage of the column is its exceptionally low level of stationary phase flushing. Minimal flushing reduces baseline noise, which improves detection limits for low-concentration analytes and increases detection resolution. This property is especially important for mass spectrometry, as it preserves the integrity of the mass spectra and extends the life of the detector by reducing contamination of the ion source. Due to the high inertia of the surface, the column provides excellent peak shape and excellent sensitivity when working with active or difficult-to-separate compounds. The stationary phase is crosslinked and bonded, which allows rinsing with organic solvents to remove non-volatile residues. Minimizing flushing prolongs column life and increases reproducibility of results between analyses and batches. The operating temperature range for standard speakers ranges from minus 60 to 330 degrees Celsius in isothermal mode and up to 350 degrees in temperature programming mode. For metal versions, heating up to 430 degrees is acceptable. The column is available in a wide range of geometric sizes: internal diameters from 0.10 to 0.53 millimeters, lengths from 10 to 60 meters and film thicknesses from 0.10 to 5.00 micrometers. Applications of the column include the analysis of hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls, residual solvents, gasoline fractions, refined gases, essential oils, pesticides, as well as testing for the presence of prohibited substances.
